Challenger Volunteer Program

  • Daily I work alongside individuals who inspire me with their generousity of time and commitment to make a difference. These individuals are our Challenger volunteers! We welcome and encourage you to join our volunteer team of parents, grandparents, students, neighbors and community members.

We have an amazing Volunteer Program in our school district! Last year at Challenger we had over 21,800 volunteer hours! Whether you volunteers once or twice during the school year or on a weekly basis, each and ever volunteer is a valuable resource!

Some volunteer opportunities at Challenger include field trips, art projects, science activities, the book fair, media center events, reading, classroom parties, PTSP events, the school carnival, Kids Voting and so on. We also have projects for volunteers to work on from home, i.e., cutting and counting projects.

Thank you for choosing the volunteer program and for helping our students receive indiidual help and attention so vital to their success. If you have any questions, please call me, Maryfran, at 681-2345, ext. 3718 or email at volunteer@trf.k12.mn.us. Also, you can stop by my office and visit about volunteer opportunities. The Volunteer Program at Challenger Elementary School has its 'headquarters' in the main office at Challenger.
