Lincoln High School has always been the home of exceptional student athletes and outstanding artists and academics. The earliest trophies showcased in cases near the Lincoln High School Gymnasium are from the 1937-38 Basketball team. However, trophies commemorating the accomplishments of teams in all areas of athletics, arts and academics and from all years were found in a recent survey of the trophy cases.

Student participation in extracurricular activities is vital to the development of well-rounded graduates. Research indicates that students who participate in daily physical activity exhibit improved memory, concentration, communication skills, problem-solving ability, and leadership capabilities. As a school, we support student participation because the benefits have been shown to be decreased absenteeism, increased self-esteem, and improved health and lifestyle choices. Our community supports athletic and activity programs because there is an increased tendency to participate in their community after graduation.

We encourage every student to find a team, club or organization to use their particular talents for their own benefit as well as the school and communities.
