    Let's make a difference!

"A hundred years from now, it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove.... but the world may be different because I was important in the life of a child." Forest E. Witcraft

The Volunteer Program at Lincoln High School needs you! We start out the school year with people needed for Freshman orientation and help with Homecoming. Screening for vision and hearing, handing out Senior packets and Fall and Spring parent-teacher conferences also takes volunteers to complete. A major program throughout the school year are mock interviews for civics and business classes.

The Volunteer Program at Lincoln High School has its 'headquarters' in the Career Center next to the Counselor's offices. The Career Center is a major source of information for students researching possible career paths and college options. Students and parents can also find information on scholarships and financial aid available to help pay for a chosen post high-school education. A great way for students and parents to accomplish this research is to volunteer in the Career Center. Keeping the Career Center door open and materials organized counts as volunteer hours. And volunteer hours look great on a scholarship application!

Contact Jana Nelson, Lincoln High School Volunteer Coordinator for more information on any of these program. She can be reached at the Career Center - 681-7432 Ext. 1406 or by email at jnelson@trf.k12.mn.us.
